Lucia Luna was born in Colombia, as a child the only toys and her most treasured possession was a doll and a small box of crayons. She spent her hours in the front yard of her home drawing and painting. At age of six, she won her first art contest at the local level in the city of Popayan. As a reward he received her first box of 12 colored pencils. This was her more valuable treasure.

When Lucia was 16, her mother started a business of dress for priests and Lucia was in charge of religious silk paintings. Lucia studied six semesters of Electronic Engineering at the University of Cauca and graduated in accounting from same university.

In the year 2000, Lucia moved to The United States, later she got a bachelor degree in arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Lucarbo has the ability to capture the essence of the faces through the dry techniques, especially charcoal and pencil.   She also likes to paint landscapes and flowers in acrylic and oils.
